Weston College and University Centre Weston have announced plans for an exciting new Skills Academy in the Aerospace & Defence space, located at Airbus Filton, Bristol, and we are looking for a visionary leader to join our team as the Vice Principal - Aerospace Skills Academy.

If you have extensive experience in large-scale engineering environments, a thorough understanding of FE and HE curriculum requirements and want to be in a role where you can drive growth through innovative programme development and strong industry partnerships, then this role might be the one for you.

You will oversee the development of this new campus from inception to full operational status and ensure that the Aerospace Academy becomes a centre of excellence for aerospace and advanced engineering skills.

The successful candidate for this role will need to be a leader with experience in both education and the aerospace or defence sector who shows a clear commitment to becoming an 'extraordinary college' through their ability to develop quality strategies, employer engagement strategies and commercial opportunities. They will show strong communication, persuasion, influencing and leadership skills and a detailed working knowledge of Ofsted, OFS methodologies, internal and external verification and FE & HE curriculum programmes, including apprenticeships.
